Positive: It’s spacious and in a beautiful location. There is a hotel right opposite which is great if you don’t feel like driving and want to go for a meal. The bed was comfortable. However, if you are sharing with a friend, it’s not ideal or even possible. There were no extra linens for the either sofas, which I assumed were a pullout couches, they are not. When my friend joined, we were just happy that she’s not super tall and could fit into the sofa, but we had to go and buy blankets. I asked for extra sheets, and the answer was no there are none. So not helpful The bathroom is en suite, so you have to go through the bedroom to use it so really not great for friends sharing. Although the place was clean, there is a strong musty smell, and I had to get candles to mask it. Also, there were lots of dog hairs. I was surprised there was no bottle opener, given the location and there was only one wine glass. So again, I had to purchase items. It’s very dated and mismatched and the toilet seat had seen better days. Cracked and nasty. . The heater was broken, so it was freezing downstairs. There is no kettle, and the decor is quite dated. However, I still enjoyed it because of the size of it and the time with my friend and Mendocino is lovely. The hot tub was nice but not clean, there was sand and a loose screw inside it. Would I recommend it, no, was it over all ok, yes but not for the price. 6/10
