Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Location was great. Two primary suites were spacious and well designed. Kitchen appliances were very high end. Dishes, silverware was plentiful. Ping Pong was fun. Plenty of games. Remote blinds to keep sun out during hot afternoons. Enjoyed great sunsets on upper deck with Gas fireplace to roast marshmallows. Plenty of washers and dryers to keep 14 peoples clothes clean and dry. Garage kept all our bikes and cars safe. two refrigerators to keep our groceries and drinks cold.
Negative: Air conditioning was not working. House was hot on first day and uncomfortable sleeping each night. It seemed to cool at night but was really associated with the outdoor temp cooling down. We texted owner a few days in and could not get HVAC service to house but we spoke about a previous renter putting T-stat down too far resulting in Iced up coil in air handler. I mentioned this could be due to low refrigerant also. I agreed to turn off AC and defrost coil. The outside compressor was all iced up too. After several hours of defrosting we started unit up and next day it was all iced up again. Ac was a major problem for us. We believe the HVAC unit is undersized for this home hence a mini-split in kitchen Which worked well. Internet service was slow to non existent at times. Owner mentioned ISP was sending notes that there was a service problem. Would have been good to know prior to asking Owner to reset Server which ISP did remotely. Worked good for a day then back to poor performance. Inadequate amounts of shampoo, and bodywash in bathrooms. We went to buy our own in first days of trip. Need more kitchen garbage bags in house - ran out early.
Summary: Great house in great location but fix key amenities to get an excellent rating.
