This is a combination of two existing listings that encompass two separately metered spaces in a rowhouse. There is no connecting interior staircase between the units. After your reservation is confirmed, we will send you a form to identify everyone in your group and upload government-issued identification for each adult. We use this form for two reasons. First, to protect you and me. Sometimes the "friends" of the booking guest do not respect the property when they know they are not part of this transaction. Ever since we started doing this, we have made fewer claims on the security deposits that the booking guest (e.g., You) put up. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY until every adult in your group completes the form and uploads ID. Also, please be respectful of your noise level during quiet hours. Our neighbors live here full time and we work hard to maintain good relationships with them. The good news is that you can have as much fun as you want without worrying if you're disturbing the neighbors. Our house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so we can give you a heads up. Rest assured that NoiseAware does not record content, it only measures noise levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Similarly, there are outdoor security cameras trained on the front door, the back door, and in the alley. There is also a indoor camera in the attic crawlspace where guests are not allowed. We are: * a 5 minute walk from the historic Union Station (Metro, Amtrak, MARC train); * a block away from the X1 commuter bus (easy morning access to the National Mall, Tidal Basin cherry blossoms, and Smithsonian museums with return service in the late afternoon), X2 bus (to the Capital One Arena and the White House), and the streetcar! * 10 minute bus ride on the D4 to the Convention Center. * half a block away from a Capital Bikeshare station, available for daily rentals at $7 a day; and * Uber car service is always just a quick call away.
